FIDECO 7 Ports USB 3.2 10Gbps Type C Type A Hub

This is a great USB-C and USB-A powered hub. Everything has a great fit and finish to it. But what really matters is its performance. And it performed great! As you can see in my attached Speed Test it transferred data at almost the same speed as the same drive connected directly to my computer. And the USB-A speeds with the provided cable were really good too.The case has a nice heft to it and it just feels "professional". Even the 15w charging block doesn't feel chintzy.The instructions said only one USB-C and one USB-A hub could provide power. And since none are marked for the power I tried them all and they all also provided charging power to an iPhone and iPad.

When I'm on the road, one thing that annoys me is that hotel rooms almost never have enough USB ports to keep my electronics charged, and even when they do, they're most often low powered and slow charging.So I was very interested in getting a good quality USB hub for travel, and this one fits the bill nicely. In fact, if all you need is charging, this might be overkill since there's some great features for data as well.On the charging side of the house, this hub features USB 7.5W outlets, which equates to 1.5A. While not the fastest charger out there, the fact that there are 7 total front panel ports means you can easily charge all your devices simultaneously.On the data side, the back USB port is a 10Gb port, meaning the hub will not bottlenect data transfers so you can hook up thumb drives or SSD drives and get quick file transfer speeds, which is really nice when you're downloading or backing up vacation pictures and videos.The other reason I picked out this unit is we go on cruises fairly regularly, and cruise lines are cracking down even further on multi-plug cords. One line has banned all multi-plug outlets and cords, even if they aren't surge suppressors. Multi-plug USB outlets are not included in the ban, meaning this little gem will be perfectly fine.It works well, packs small, and is easy to set up and use. It charges what I need charged and supports fast download of large files. This is a winner!

I��m reviewing the FIDECO Powered 7-Port USB Hub. The keywords here are ��7-Port�� and ��Powered��. The 7-Ports provided offer both USB-C & USB-A ports which covers older standard USB-A connections as well as newer USB-C connections, which are the new standard connections. And the fact that this is a powered hub makes a huge different in reliability of connections, especially when you have multiple USB drives connected and tugging at the power available, to which non-powered hubs fall short. And because it is powered, it can also handle device charging duties, and does this well. It is not going to outperform a dedicated high-end, charging-only charger. But I think it performs as well as any standard charger. So this hub handles both decent charging duties as well as fast data transfer duties. Nice combo, especially if you take this hub on the road. Definitely Recommend. (Note: It also comes nicely packaged)

This one missed the 5th star over something so minor but inconvenient enough to affect it's use. More on this towards the end.The FIDECO usb hub is a heavy hitter in many ways. All of these ports are data ports and 2 of them quick charge! The price on this is competitive when compared to similar like products and the build quality punches above it's weight!I've been using this for about a month mainly data transfer from usb stick and a 2.4 dongle for a controller I use for gaming. From the controller, there is no noticeable input lag when comparing it to having the dongle attached to the computer. Data transfer speeds to my USB sticks are just as fast as plugging in to the PC. Both I can have the controller and USB stick both connected and operating normally at the same time.Tbh it looks great. I love it on my set up as I keep my actual PC out of sight it's nice to have access to USB ports from the accessible comfort of your desk. The provided usb cord is long and and feels very durable - it's a Type C to Type C but has an adapter for USB A slots. The hub itself feels very well made with an aluminum housing and soft anti slip padding on the bottom to prevent slipping. The laser itching looks nice and crisp.The product itself I think is deserving of 5 stars but the unit I received is missing the little lightning symbols under the fast charging slots (see pic and compare to graphic). This seems like a QC issue and although it's not a major one, it was inconvenient to have to remember what 2 slots fast charge as well as having to remind my partner, who also uses the PC, what slots fast charge.Overall, I am still very happy with it - it's capable, looks great and does not break the bank. WOuld recommend!

Nice addition to my desk setup. It helped me greatly to reduce some of the cable mass. The ports work great, and it looks neat on my desk. Overall, this is a good-quality product.
