FIDECO USB 3.0 To 2.5 3.5 inch SATA IDE HDD SSD Adapter

I have had this for a few weeks now. I would gibe a 5 star but I am waiting to see if it goes bad in a few months. I am currently using this for my xbox one's eternal hdd memory from old drives I've taken out of old computers. I'm happy to tell you the connection is very nice and snug for all the connectors, and firm fitting aswell. There is no problems to report. I have basically been running it for 16 plus hours a day depending if I forget to turn it off or not. So it's being used a lot right now.Oh and the only downside is the drive is exposed but it really doesn't matter unless you let dust collect on it. I will return to raise or lower my rating in a few months.I hope this was helpful to someone!

The adapter works as advertised. Got access to 3 of 5 old drives, 2 were no longer functioning. I verified this by connecting them to an old PC. The access time even on a very old drive was reasonably fast on a USB 3.2 port. I was even able to install and run Linux Mint on one of them and it seamed faster than the older PC's access time. I like that the wires in the 4 pin molex power connector have been epoxied or glued in place it provides a much sturdier feel to to the plug. I also like that the USB cable is removable. Though the selection to use a 2 sided USB A type cord leaves me scratching my head. Why in 2024 is this being sold without a USB C port, and I think this is my only issue with this USB to IDE, 2.5 IDE, and SATA connector. The USB C cord is about 3-feet or one meter. It feels of a reasonable quality. And the additional power supply wall wart has about 6-feet or two meter of cord. And has an output of 12 volts at 3000ma, Though the issue with IDE drives are different jumper settings that may need to be set or changed. This device or any other one cannot magically make a old broken drive, or one with the jumpers not set properly work.

Have many drives from systems that have long died. Been searching for the right tool, and have tried many over the years. The setup of this was the easiest by far. Many other tools look simple, but without the proper power your old drives won��t do their thing properly. This spun up many older IDE drives allowing me to scan them and retrieve old data that others said was not retrievable without using an expensive recovery service. Drives were immediately recognizable in Win10, scanned in ESET and data able to be copied to newer sources.

Easy to set up and my computer recognized the drive immediately. Browsed files and copied to my laptop everything I needed from the old drive.
